We Love Green Festival

This June (Saturday 2 - Sunday 3), Paris, France is being taken over by the star-studded We Love Green Festival. Across the weekend and four stages in the middle of the woods, international heavyweights like The Internet, King Krule, Sampha, IAMDDB, Jorja Smith, Bjork and more will be bringing their latest hits to the Parisian masses.

Elsewhere on the line-up there'll be sets from Migos, Tyler, The Creator, Jamie xx, Mount Kimbie, The Black Madonna, Jorja Smith, Funkineven, Daphni and countless other titans from the worlds of hip-hop, dance, indie and pop.

It may only be two days of revelry but the organisers have packed a phenomenal amount in. If you're heading across the Channel that first week of June, you'll want to see as much as humanly possible. You'd be superhuman to catch them all, so we've put together this list of the five acts you absolutely need to see at We Love Green Festival.

The Internet

Known for live sets that operate more like sprawling, psychedelic jam sessions from the golden age of funk, Syd, Steve Lacy and The Internet will be gracing the forest settings with their astonishing musicianship and impossibly infectious and enviable chemistry. Up until recently, the individual members of The Internet had been focusing in on solo careers (which we'll hopefully be hearing from too), but after releasing the roller rink funk-infused "Roll (Burbank Funk)" last week it seems the band are tighter than ever and with new material to add to their already impressive catalogue.

King Krule

The elusive and somewhat mysterious King Krule will be making his way to We Love Green Festival. Though opinion was divided over his recent album The OOZ, there's no denying that a King Krule show is a treat not to be passed up. And, to be frank, if it's anything like as good as his performance on the moon, it should live up to your expectations.

IAMDDB

What's left to say about Mancunian star IAMDDBHoodrich Vol. 3 has been a potent source of trappy, melodic, baller anthems. Add to that her boss of everything personality, and there's no ignoring IAMDDB's star quality. If you've ever caught her live, even in the smallest, sweatiest clubs, you'll have seen her stage presence. Whether it's in those small venues or belting out "Shade" or "G.A.F" to tens of thousands, the Manny boss dominates any setting. It's also worth pointing out her Twitter name hints that Hoodrich Vol. 4 could be on its way soon, so we could be treated to some brand new anthems at the Parisian festival.

Sampha

Making time to catch Sampha's set on the Saturday will surely prove to be a safe bet as well. A guaranteed trip through your emotions, his powerful songwriting and lively compositions make for a surprisingly upbeat and energetic live show. While you might be worried that being at the front is the only way to see Sampha at a festival, rest assured the musical auteur is more than capable of filling the whole site with his sound.

Björk

This is a no-brainer really. Whether it's large scale, almost cinematic live performances or intimate DJ sets for her friends at Tri Angle Records, Björk is never short of captivating. And with so many hours of incredible music to wheel out, whether it's all new material or a tour through the various eras of Björk, we're in for a treat regardless.
