Jay Rock Shares Cover Art and Release Date for New Album 'Redemption'

Jay Rock's Interscope debut will arrive in June.

The wait for Jay Rock's new album is nearly over as the TDE member has announced Redemption will arrive June 15 via TDE/Interscope. Check out the Dave Free-photographed cover art below:

It's been nearly three years since the release of his last solo effort, 90059, but the Watts representative hasn't exactly been dormant in that span. Along with making an appearance on Isaiah Rashad's debut studio album The Sun's Tirade, Rock more recently scored a key role on the Black Panther: The Album soundtrack with his star-studded single "King's Dead." The song—which boasts additional contributions from Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake—has enjoyed Billboard success, including reaching No. 21 on the Hot 100 chart, and has been certified platinum.

Fans got another taste of what's to come from Redemption in mid-May when Jay Rock released "Win," an anthemic cut that plays up his take-no-losses approach to life. The song includes additional vocals from Kendrick and production from Mike Will Made-It and Vinylz. While there's not much else known about Redemption, we would't be surprised if other TDE members make an appearance in some form.

Rock is currently on TDE's Championship Tour with the rest of the roster. The 30-date trek runs through June 16, which happens to be the day after his new album drops. Sounds like he and the team will have a lot to celebrate come mid-June.
