This is not a drill. Tinashe is releasing her long-awaited third album, Joyride, next month.

After an Instagram commenter asked the 25-year-old when the forthcoming album will be released, Tinashe surprisingly responded, "next month" with a bunch of emojis with their tongues sticking out. The commenter aptly responded with: 'HOLY SHIT MY HEART JUST DROPPED." The moment was later shared on Twitter and uploaded to Popheads Reddit thread.

Joyride was supposed to be the follow-up to Tinashe's debut album, Aquarius, from 2014. She even held a listening session for the album in 2015.

"For me, the plan is world domination overall," she told the audience at the listening party, according to The Boombox. "But [with]Joyride, I'm really excited for people to get to know me. It was an introspective in a sense since I'm on a joyride right now." But it was never released. Instead of Joyride, Tinashe dropped 2016's Nightride.

She later spoke about the pushback on the album. "Things haven’t always gone according to my original plan, but that’s life, and things change," she told The Fader last year. "But that’s life, and things change.”

But with her latest comments, it seems that the album wasn't shelved forever. Earlier this year, she teased three singles for the forthcoming album and now we have a release month.

Although the date hasn't been revealed, fans should expect Joyride sometime in April. In the meantime, R&B fans can get ready for some new music from Tinashe by listening to her latest tracks, "Faded Love" with Future and "No Drama" with Offset.
