Lil Wayne and Birdman haven't exactly been good friends the past few years, with Wayne blaming Birdman for withholding money from him and continually pushing back the release of Tha Carter V. Weezy has been highly critical of Cash Money Records, with lawsuits filed and their business relationship completely falling apart. However, after spotted hugging it out in public earlier this month, Birdman has hinted on Instagram that they've really squashed the beef.
While it doesn't confirm anything, Birdman posted a picture of the two of them hanging out again, making it seem all the more likely we will see Tha Carter V this year after all.
Referring to Wayne as his son, just like old times, the post could indicate that they've been attempting to push their differences aside once and for all. In February, Birdman promised that Tha Carter V was finally on its way for real, explaining, "Without a doubt. You will get [the album] this year. It's gonna be well worth the wait."
It's been around three years since Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money, claiming that the label was detaining Tha Carter V and millions in royalties.
