Earlier this month, Kodak Black was indicted by a grand jury in Florence County, South Carolina on first-degree sexual conduct charges. Last year, the Project Baby 2 artist was arrested after an alleged sexual assault at a hotel. According toWPDE, the alleged assault was first reported to a school nurse in Richland County before a school resource officer informed the Florence County Sheriff's Office.

In a statement to Billboard's Nerisha Penrose at the time, Kodak Black's attorney Beattie Ashmore said they were "aware" of the indictment that it was "part of the normal process of the pending case." Kodak Black is barred from commenting on the case in interviews and on social media. He recently finished anger-management courses stemming from an unrelated case.
