There’s been no shortage of speculation on what caused Kanye West’s November outburst and subsequent hospitalization. With recent reports of Kanye being released from UCLA Medical Center after erratic behavior, multiple sources are now reporting West suffered from the wrong dosage of prescription medication.

Both TMZ and People report Kanye West deviated from his prescribed dosage of medication, which allegedly led to a breakdown. West has previously rapped about the antidepressant Lexapro on “FML” and the anxiety treatment drug Xanax on “No More Parties in LA.”

“It's still unclear if Kanye flat-out stopped taking some of the pills or just decided to take different amounts—but we're told he made the biggest changes in the wake of Kim's Paris robbery,” TMZ reported. “Doctors were able to keep Kanye in the hospital for eight days, and during that time were able to medicate him, and get him more stable.”

Kim Kardashian West was robbed in a Paris hotel in early October, allegedly causing her to scale back public appearances and make changes to her personal security detail. In outbursts previous to West’s rant at his aborted concert in Sacramento, California, West referenced the robbery and how he believed it impacted his relationship with Jay Z.

The full report, which you can read at TMZ, added that West is currently receiving outpatient treatment and no longer under 24-hour observation.
