The Weeknd made his Ellen and daytime television debut with a performance of "Starboy" on Monday under a string of laser beams and moody blue lighting.

The performance comes days after the singer dropped his third studio album Starboy, which he celebrated by sitting down with Zane Lowe for his first ever on-camera interview on Beats 1.

He also stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a medley of both his Daft Punk-assisted songs from the album, "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming."

Performing is a skill that The Weeknd has clearly mastered since first arriving on the scene. He touched on the subject in his interview with Zane. "I used to get on stage drunk [because] of nerves," he admitted. "You have to fight the nerves. You have to fight [being scared]. That's something I had to do and once I did, I feel like people are more nervous to see me than I am to see them."

The Weeknd’s new album Starboy dropped Nov. 25 and is reportedly on track to earn between 350,000-400,000 equivalent album units with 225,000-275,000 in traditional album sales, according to Hits Daily Double, which would earn him the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. We will have to wait and see where Starboy lands on the charts, but for now you can watch The Weeknd's latest performance above and read Complex's review of Starboy right here.
