DJ/production duo GTA dropped their self-titled new album Good Times Ahead late Thursday night. The Miami duo's project runs ten tracks long.
Good Times Ahead features a number of guests, including Vince Staples, Tinashe, Tunji Ige, and IAMSU!. GTA member Matt Toth explained to Complex how duo went about acquiring the features. “A lot of thought went into the features on the album. From working with heavyweights like Vince Staples and Tinashe, to including up and comers like Jarina De Marco, Tunji Ige and RKCB, we wanted to make sure the tracklisting was as diverse as the production itself and we’re excited it worked out so seamlessly."
Member Julio Mejia discussed how it feels to finally be finished with the project. "After a year and a half of hard work, to have the album finally out today is such an amazing feeling," he said to Complex. "When we set out to make this album, we knew we wanted to create a project that was able to showcase our range and who we are as producers. We were able to work with so many talented people on these tracks, and we truly couldn’t be happier with the final product.”
GTA have already had brushes with fame, opening for Rihanna on her Diamonds World Tour and working with big names like Skrillex, Diplo, Flosstradamus, and Afrojack. Now, they're ready to make a statement of their own with their new project.
