Good Life Festival Security Guard KO'd by Sickening Kick to the Head

A security guard has been knocked out after a sickening kick from a teenage punter at Perth's Good Life Festival.

A security guard at Perth's Good Life Festival was knocked unconscious by a sickening kick to head, in video captured by shocked onlookers.

Referred to by Reddit users as a 'coward kick', the footage shows a security guard grappling with a young punter who reportedly jumped the fence to enter the festival. During the scuffle, an unknown teen enters the frame, kicks the guard square in the face, and runs away.

The security guard slumps over, unconscious, before a pair of girls attempt to assist the man.

The video was uploaded to Facebook by user Woody Woodford, who added; "How can people stand their and record your just a weak as the bloke kicking security in the head. Out of everyone who was there I can't believe no one helped during or atleast tried to stop the bloke. All this generation knows how to do is record....... Stand up make the change it only takes one person to make a difference!”

The promoters of Good Life have also released a statement.

The promoters of Good Life and Frontier Touring have issued a statement following yesterday’s festival at Perth’s Claremont Showgrounds:

The safety of Good Life attendees and staff is our highest priority. Promoters do not condone violence of any kind, and take these issues extremely seriously.

Following the incident on site, the security guard in question was immediately attended to by medical teams and taken to hospital by an on-site ambulance for assessment. He was discharged a few hours later. Good Life promoters will continue to monitor his well-being. The incident is being investigated by the Police.

With so much attention on unprovoked violence in our streets, particularly in the wake of several one-punch attacks and Sydney's controversial lockout laws, it's unfortunate to see young people still resorting to a brutal attack like this.
