Halsey's brand of mood-ridden pop has hooked us from the inception with her most recent release of "Hold Me Down" this summer leaving us salivating for more. While the 20-year old singer has been building her fanbase all summer on a national arena tour with Imagine Dragons along with a triumphant performance at this year's Lollapalooza, Halsey's latest news of joining The Weeknd on THE MADDNESS tour alongside Travi$ Scott and Banks shows no signs of her starpower slowing down. Today, the singer unleashed her new single "Drive" a week ahead of the release of her debut album. Produced by Lido, the song takes the listener on a rapturous joyride as the motor-rumbling reverb gives way to the signal-turning beat and windshield-wiping keys, cooing a visceral getaway as instinctual as it is mechanic.
Listen to "Drive" below on Spotify and look for Halsey's debut album BADLANDS out next Friday August 28 on Astralwerks/Capitol Records which you can pre-order on iTunes. Catch Halsey on her headlining tour this Fall or on select dates of THE MADNESS tour. You can also read everything the singer had to tell us about her new album in when we met up with her in NYC last month.
