One of the highlights of Arca's Xen album was a delicate little piece called "Sad Bitch". Despite its name, it was a feather-light melody that, while beautiful, had an edge of sadness about it. Well, now, we have a video for it, and it's exactly as weird as you'd expect from Arca. The video, directed by Jesse Kanda (whom he met on DeviantArt, and who has been responsible for much of Arca's visuals), reminds you of a kind of hyperreal, twisted synesthesia as each note is expressed by a flash of colour emanating from the mysterious figure. Each note then leaves what looks like a sore or scar where it had once been. We're not certain what any of this means, but it sure is nice to look at.
