Listen to Tieks' "Sing That Song" f/ Celeste

Tieks keeps it summery with his latest house jam.

None

Fans of Joe Goddard’s understated brand of house should take note: Tieks is going to be a very, very big name indeed. A simple melody makes up the backbone for his latest, “Sing That Song”, as Celeste’s full-bodied vocals twist and turn and soar over a proggy, sun-soaked piano riff that offers more than a tipped hat to Italo disco. The subject matter within, it’s said, is a “paean to late night/early morning music intoxication” that would play out just as well during the day at a boat party as it would at 4am in a dark and dirty nightclub.

Expect to hear more from this chap, who’s already been championed by the likes of Annie Mac and been drafted in on remix duties for Jess Glynne, Rudimental and MNEK, to name a few. In fact, if you listen closely to the skillful songwriting, it should come as no surprise that Tieks, aka Mark Tieku, earned his stripes as a behind-the-scenes songwriter for artists like Florence & The Machine. Now there's a nugget of knowledge, for you.
