Rising Chicago star Vic Mensa has a lot going on. He's working with Montreal DJ and producer, Kaytranada. He just wrapped up a European tour with Danny Brown, and just dropped a feature on an Asher Roth track and a Sir Sly remix. Needless to say, Mensa's keeping busy.

Which is why we were lucky to catch up with him recently in Austin, Texas at this year's SXSW, when he dropped into The COMPLEX Complex to talk with us. Among other things, he discussed wrapping up that tour with Danny Brown, and his feelings about the Chicago/"Chiraq" rap label surrounding his hometown, and what it means to him (hint: "fuck, shit, bitch"). Check the video above for the interview, and keep it locked to Complex News for all the latest on Mensa and more.
