The "Yeezus" Remixes Are Here

We were totally praying for expecting Yeezus to leak, and while we imagined there would be remixes of the tracks on the album dropping the week it was officially released, we got the first bootleg about 10 hours after the leak became Internets official. Will all of the remixes be drop-dead bangers? We highly doubt it. And while we're probably shooting ourselves in the foot for even putting Yeezus remixes on the pedastal, we can't help but assume the floodgates will be opened very soon.

We were totally praying for expecting Kanye West's Yeezus to leak, and while we imagined there would be remixes of the tracks on the album dropping the week it was officially released, we got the first bootleg about 10 hours after the leak became Internets official. Will all of the remixes be drop-dead bangers? We highly doubt it. And while we're probably shooting ourselves in the foot for even putting Yeezus remixes on the pedestal, we can't help but assume the floodgates will be opened very soon.

Kanye West - "Black Skinhead (SAV Bootleg)"

Not Available Interstitial

Yeezus leaked on the afternoon of June 14, and before midnight, SAV had this bootleg sent out. It's more of an edit, with some bits looped and re-organized before dipping into banging house and Baltimore club sounds. SAV says he'd been waiting to flip this since Kanye's SNL performance, and this could be a bomb for your DJ sets.

Kanye West - "I'm In It (DMNDZ Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Ye's latest tracks lay well with the current trap scene, so it makes sense that DMNDZ took one of the more intense, sexually explicit tracks and threw a grip of 808s and hi-hats under it. Everything from 'Ye's raw lyrics to the dancehall toasting works well over this big-bottomed beast.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (Cy Kosis Trap Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Being that "New Slaves" is built on a pretty hypnotic melody (and no real drums), it made sense for a trap remix to get made for it, highlighting how huge that melody can be. Cy Kosis focuses on that infectious progression, building a big-bodied trap banger, only letting part of Kanye's "leaders and followers" line and some of the rapping around that to be featured. The big drums are brought out for the second half, which takes things into a new territory.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (Brenmar Club Edit)"

Not Available Interstitial

Solid rework from the one like Brenmar. It's definitely more of an edit than a full-on remix, although he's taken it upon himself to throw a number of different drums in there, throwing some "oomph" in there. Kanye's not thrown to the side, and we get a rework that heads can twerk to.

Kanye West - "Black Skinhead (Alex Young + Royal's Horny Edit)"

Not Available Interstitial

You gotta love when the younger heads turn up. "Black Skinhead" has been called a lot of things, including punk, but leave it to Alex Young and Royal to focus on 'Ye's "I woulda been blacked out on your ass" to turn this fuzzy bass beast into a charged up trap fight anthem. Once those horns come out? That's when the fists come out.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (Styles&Complete Bootleg)"

Not Available Interstitial

Now this is what we like to hear. That simple melody in "New Slaves" is ripe for the flipping, and the way Styles&Complete took this one over, with the edge they threw on the bass, the lethal 808 knock on the low-end, with those knocking drums?! Slicing the "you see it's leaders, and it's followers" line was key as well.

Boogat vs Kanye West - "Suave ft. Chele & Madhi vs Send It Up (Poirier Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

And the blends come out. Props to Poirier for flipping Boogat's "Suave" over a nice edit of "Send It Up." Did he end up getting his mittens on the actual instrumental or is this a clever mash of a few bits from the main track where 'Ye isn't spitting?!

Kanye West - "Blood On The Leaves (DOGMA Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Truth be told, we were waiting to see what the bootleg producer set was going to do with TNGHT's "R U Ready" instrumental on "Blood On The Leaves," but one thing we didn't expect was an odd drumstep-y rendition. Kind of aggressive, and there's a lot of mashing up of Nina's vocals. Your call, really.

Kanye West - "I'm In It (Faceasaurus Rex Swaghili Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

For a remix that takes it's lead from a wild Kanye line, it actually doesn't contain much in the way of rapping, which is surprising given at how intense the lines in this one can get. Bass heavy trap rendition here; you already know.

Kanye West - "Send It Up (THUGLI Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Now this makes sense. Turning that hypnotic alarm into a trap monster? This was the tune we were expecting producers to attack, and we're not mad at how THUGLI interpreted this one. Loads more King L in this than we imagined there would be, which we are in no way mad at.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (BIG MAKK Bootleg)"

Not Available Interstitial

We're thinking "New Slaves" might be the most remixed track from Yeezus, don't you? The latest producer to put his stamp on this definitive Kanye statement is BIG MAKK, who parks some low 808s under this one, turning it up like a trap producer should.

Kanye West - "Send It Up (Them Lost Boys x Nomster Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Them Lost Boys and Nomster rep for Play Me with this drumstep-tinged rework of "Send It Up," chock full of quick siren blares alongside some glitch-y elements. The original "Send It Up" is already noisey enough, but this one adds loads of volume to the tune.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (DJ Cable Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

DJ Cable turned in his own trap rendition of "New Slaves," and while it kicks off in a similar fashion to some of the other reworks, he throws in some diversions on that bassline, really ramping this one up for the club (or your whips).

Kanye West - "Black Skinhead (DJ Sega Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Perfect. How no one had thought to throw a Philly/Bmore club vibe on Yeezus is beyond us, but leave it to DJ Sega to turn "Black Skinhead" into an even more hyper club BANGER. Plus it's dropping on Legitmix!

Kanye West - "Hold My Liquor (Sin Diesel Baby Makin Bootleg)"

Not Available Interstitial

Sin Diesel's bootleg lives up to the "baby makin'" aspect of this Chief Keef-featured cut from Yeezus; it's one of those vampire tracks that works best at night.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (Siméon Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

"New Slaves" is definitely the one you trap producers are flocking to. With a random "Asian pussy" vocal before the drop, this one turns the tracks main melody into a fuzzy banger. Siméon's name is hitting our inbox a lot; he did his thing on here, and will probably be on the lips of many more heads in the near future.

Kanye West - "Hold My Liquor (Shelco Garcia & MAMUSHKA MASSIVE RE BOOT)"

Not Available Interstitial

With all of the talk about how "EDM" Yeezus is, we're surprised there aren't more house takes on the material. Smart move to throw "Hold My Liquor" into a tearing electro house cut. Great placement of the "hooo!" in the beat, and the breakdowns on this one are downright epic.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (DJ Snake Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Unexpected? Definitely. We figured more of you might be trying to turn up with Magna Carta Holy Grail remixes, but DJ Snake decided to give "New Slaves" a bouncy new coat, almost like an ice cream paint job on a track that's getting ran through its paces. Proper trap remix, with Snake putting his own spin on the "New Slaves" melody a number of different ways. We have a feeling this one is going to get rinsed...

Kanye West - "Send It Up (Nadus Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

We need more "Send It Up" remixes, especially if they come in the form of Jersey club thumpers from Brick Bandits member Nadus. It's almost as if Nadus took the "don't talk ever again" serious and cut all 'Ye vocals out of the rework, leaving nothing but this banger and those serious sirens in tact. Whatever the case may be, this bangs.

Kanye West - "New Slaves (Spooky's Unchained Slaves Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Hopefully, this 8 bar rework of "New Slaves" gets released at some point. Spooky has this "work-in-progress" version, and it's just that, his grime take on the "New Slaves" melody. Punched up to perfection, we could see this one going off properly in the club.

Kanye West - "Bound 2 (Pawn Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Most intense remix of a Yeezus track yet. Proper juke/jungle hybrid madness, with tons of amens.

Kanye West "New Slaves (DJ Rell Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

You have to appreciate the way DJ Rell edited Kanye's lines in this one. With "New Slaves," Kanye West was already breaking it down for people today, but Rell apparently had something to say, as he manipulates these bars to put across his own message. No more spoilers, just listen to the way this Jersey club can let you know what time it really is.

Kanye West - "Blood On The Leaves (Sliink Jersey Club Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Fellow Jersey club producer Nadus already applied the pressure to "Send It Up," while DJ Rell threw "New Slaves" into the ring. Philly's own DJ Sega even took "Black Skinheads" through a club rework, so it makes sense that Sliink goes full bore into this intense remix of "Blood on the Leaves," letting everyone who he's down for. Unexpected, but those are the best surprises.

Lee Bannon - "Bound 3"

Not Available Interstitial

Lee Bannon is an interesting character; dude's gained fame for his hip-hop productions, working with the likes of Joey Bada$$ among others. He's got this leftfield jungle side to him that's undeniable, to the point where Ninja Tune signed him and are releasing his forthcoming album, which is sure to be a tour-de-force when it comes to cultivating interesting sounds, which can be found in this proto-jungle rework of 'Ye's "Bound 2." If you want to talk about intricate breakbeat work, its all right here. Dive in.

Kanye West - "Bound 2 (Solidisco Remix)"

Not Available Interstitial

Solidisco is back with a nu disco take on Kanye's "Bound 2" that's devoid of Kanye. We're not saying this is as seductive as James Franco & Seth Rogan's flip of the official "Bound 2" video, but their French spin of this cut, putting Charlie Wilson's vocals center stage, is a great re-imagining of the sound

Kanye West - "Bound 2 (The Flexican REMIX)"

Not Available Interstitial

Sneaky banger from The Flexican. He draws you in slow with the samples, then out of nowhere chops things up to pieces over a banging beat... then gets all juke-y! Revive this one.
