#15. Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid In A Mad City

Label: Top Dawg Entertainment
Release Date: Fall
Likelihood Of Release: 75%

The stakes are high for Compton's own Kendrick Lamar. After putting one of the best rap projects of 2011, he's got his listeners expecting an elite-level product. Look out for more witty wordplay and deep, thought-provoking lyricism on Good Kid In A Mad City. It should be interesting to see how Kendrick handles the challenge of simultaneously pleasing his core fanbase—who praise his storytelling skills and complicated rhyming techniques—and the considerably larger audience he'll need to reach in order to move units. If J. Cole can do it, Kendrick can do.
