Trump Accidentally Cites Washington Post in Tweet to Discredit Them

Donald Trump is known for referring to The New York Times, Washington Post, or any site that criticizes him, as fake news. But this time around, he built somewhat of a Schrödinger's box conundrum. But instead of life or death, it's fake news vs. real news.

In a recent tweet, Trump noted that Twitter is working to suspend "fake and suspicious accounts" and hoped this would mean the aforementioned news sites and Amazon get booted from his favorite social media app.

"Twitter is getting rid of fake accounts at a record pace," read his tweet. "Will that include the Failing New York Times and propaganda machine for Amazon, the Washington Post, who constantly quote anonymous sources that, in my opinion, don’t exist – They will both be out of business in 7 years!"

But funnily enough, it was The Washington Post who published the report he cited on Twitter. The news site issued the report on Friday and Trump tweeted about it on Saturday. So, as Trump is calling out WaPo for being fake, he's also using them as a reference.
