Instagram has been creeping on corners for a while now. The app (and Rihanna) effectively ended Snapchat's run with the introduction of its Instagram Stories feature.

But Twitter's not about to go out like Snapchat. The bird decided to take a shot at Insta by pointing out that a lot of its content is re-rocked versions of popular tweets.

Twitter turned its official Instagram account into a collage containing a tweet that reads: "instagram is literally just screenshots of tweets and i think @twitter should call them out." It then followed this post by uploading shots of some of the social media network's viral tweets.

It has become common practice for people to use their Instagram account to boost their Twitter interactions or vice versa. Yet it's apparent that Twitter thinks IG should do a better job at citing where these post originated.

Instagram has yet to respond to Twitter encroaching on their territory. But if it does, this would set the stage for a very memorable moment in social media history. In fact, it would only be second to Gucci Mane's infamous 2012 codeine-induced Twitter rant
