Police have detained an individual who allegedly stole a boat and crashed it into at least two other boats in Newport Beach, California.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the accident also resulted in damage to the dock at Newport Beach Harbor. Footage of the incident shows the man driving the boat into the two other vessels—including a sailboat whose mast was torn off—before trying to reverse it.

“Shit went down this morning at Newport Beach Harbor!! Some wackjob stole this boat and crashed into this dock!” the caption reads. “Where the footage cuts out, he then guns it forward nearly hitting the dock again, where he finally ends up smashing into the Lido Bridge.. absolutely insane.” You can hear someone in the background—perhaps the person recording the video—yell “Oh shit!” as the reportedly stolen boat crashes into the other boats. “His throttle’s smoked,” the guy continues, as he also tells whoever he’s with to move since it’s unclear where the wayward boat was going next.

According to TMZ, someone called the incident into police just after 10 a.m. on Thursday, saying there was a “possible stolen vessel.” A bystander told the outlet that a police boat pulled up and stopped the boat from causing additional damage. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department also ended up towing a boat from the scene.

It’s unknown who stole the boat. No injuries were reported from the theft and accident.
