Scott Walker Endorses Ted Cruz for President

What began with a small army of Republican presidential candidates has now been whittled down to just three: billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich—the latter of whom, despite staggeringly mediocre caucus results, refuses to drop out of the race. But perhaps today's coveted endorsement announcement from Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker of Cruz will bring us one step further to seeing just two candidates vying for the Republican ticket, at long last.

On Wednesday morning Walker took to his twitter account to share his support of the senator for president. Echoing the party's frequent sentiment of "anyone but Clinton," Walker wrote that Cruz is "the best-positioned candidate to both win the Republican nomination and defeat Hillary Clinton."

Walker's endorsement follows Cruz's most recent celebrity support from Caitlyn Jenner, who said she'd like to take on a role as Cruz's "trans ambassador" in an interview with The Advocate. "Wouldn’t it be great. Let’s say he goes on to be president," she said. "And I have all my girls on a trans issues board to advise him on making decisions when it comes to trans issues. Isn’t that a good idea?" Cruz refused to acknowledge that unsolicited support but responded to Walker's with the following:
