Shaun White and Nina Dobrev are reportedly no more, calling it quits on their engagement and relationship after five years together.
According to a report from People, citing a source close to the couple, the two came to "a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another."
The outlet reports reps for both White and Dobrev did not respond to a request for comment about the breakup.
The news seems somewhat surprising considering both White and Dobrev were photographed together only a few weeks ago.
However, breakup rumors began to circulate when Dobrev posed for photos at The Toronto International Film Festival without her engagement ring while she attended the premiere of Eternity.
Dobrev and White announced their engagement to the world back in October 2024 with an Instagram post from Dobrev which showed off her engagement ring and the moment the Olympic gold medalist popped the question.
In the pics, the couple shared a loving embrace—surrounded by candles and flowers. Dobrev captioned her post, "RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé."
White showed more images from the couple's engagement several weeks after it was announced to the world with the caption, "Still floating after this night! I’m beside myself to be with this amazing woman and to be joining her beautiful family!! Our quarantine romance turned into this beautiful relationship and now a forever love. Believe me when I say that this app mostly shows us at our best. Behind the curtain like any relationship, we’ve had our struggles."
He continued, "But it’s our ability to communicate and repair that keeps us moving forward together. I’m so thankful for the life lessons, gratitude, adventure and love that Nina has taught me, and I only wish to show her the same in return. I guess we are doing the dam thing, baby!"
It's been reported the two started dating early 2020.
