A misunderstanding at a Walmart bakery led to a 2-year-old girl getting a birthday cake that read "Happy Birthday Loser."

Melin Jones of Missouri said that they didn't realize the mistake until they got home with the cake, snapping a photo of her daughter Elizabeth looking at the unfortunate icing. (It might go without saying, but the 2-year-old can't read.)

“I was a little shocked, but after a few seconds, I couldn’t stop laughing,” Jones told People of the incident that occurred last September. “I had no clue they got it wrong. I was in a hurry and it seemed like a simple enough request. I wasn’t really expecting anything to be wrong with it.”

As Jones explained in a post to the Facebook group Sad Sales, her daughter Elizabeth's nickname is Lizard. She asked for a cake reading "Happy Birthday Lizard" and was surprised by the typo when she pulled it out at home. While Jones initially deleted the post for fear that the decorator at Walmart would be reprimanded, she decided to share it now that enough time had passed.

"Apparently she heard me wrong. I was pissed then but man it’s funny now. The picture of my daughter looking at the cake kills me every time," Jones wrote. "She ended up getting a new cake and I ate every bit of that loser cake."
