University of Miami professor John Peng Zhang lost his job after he accidentally showed his "busty college girl" bookmark during a Zoom class. As the school's newspaper the Miami Hurricane reports, Zhang was sharing his screen during a business analytics class, when one of the students spotted the NSFW bookmark. According to The Daily Mail, a student recorded the mishap and posted it on TikTok, where it eventually went viral.

Notably, the bookmark was present for students in the class after the session in which it was first seen, giving more time for videos to be spread. The school has since confirmed that his job at the university has been terminated. "It was insane... it blew up," said student Samantha Hill, who saw the bookmark on Zhang's screen. "I had friends sharing it with me from other schools who saw it," added fellow student Ethan Hartz.

In a statement, Zhang said he didn't know how the bookmark got there. "I didn't see it, I'm pretty sure everybody else did," he said. "My apologies to the class." Zhang later informed his students he was "investigating" the incident, although he subsequently resigned nonetheless. One of the students who posted a TikTok of the moment said they "felt bad about the attention it was getting," and that they "didn't want him to lose his job."

"The University of Miami aggressively investigates all complaints of inappropriate behavior or sexual harassment," the school said of Zhang's termination. "After receiving a complaint through the University's ethics hotline, the incident was investigated by the Office of the Provost, Title IX investigator and Miami Herbert Business School. The University can confirm that John Peng Zhang resigned and is no longer employed at the University of Miami."
