Donald Trump has been struggling for minority votes throughout the election cycle. His frequent generalizations about African Americans who are "living in poverty" in communities that are "in the worst shape ever" have contributed to his opponent polling at 76 percent among non-white voters.
During Wednesday night's debate, Trump continued in the vein of his earlier statements. "Our policemen and women are disrespected," he said. "Our inner cities are a disaster. You get shot walking to the store, they have no education, no jobs. I will do more for African-American and Latinos than she can do in 10 lifetimes."
The GOP candidate made other comments about Latinos earlier in the debate, saying that "bad hombres" were invading the United States from across the Mexican border.
Needless to say, it's going to take a lot of taco bowls to turn around Trump's standing with nonwhite voters.
