Picking up right where Spring/Summer 2022 left offStudio Nicholson has just dropped its latest collection for the Fall/Winter 2022 season, entitled Uptown Rave.

Carried by tastemaking stores like Mr. Porter and END. clothing, London-based Studio Nicholson has quietly developed a cult following thanks to its effortless, understated garments. Founded by Nick Wakeman in 2010, the brand pioneers a functional, comfortable, and timeless aesthetic crafted with the intention of providing men and women with the tools to build a modular wardrobe.

Inspired by the freedom and nonchalance of the rave decade in the UK, the collection combines its usual accessible, understated layering pieces with loose fitting silhouettes that give the garments added volume and character. Spanning knitwear and shirting, as well as recycled sweatshirts, T-shirts and outerwear, key styles include the Oregon Coat, Private Jacket and Kennedy Jacket, which draw on traditional styles like the Parka or military liner elevated complete with bespoke fabric constructions and intricate detailing.

Deep V-neck cut knitted vests and sweaters feature alongside oversized magenta knits and abstract patterned jumpers—produced by specialists who intrinsically understand the ethos of the brand—something that is further demonstrated in their bottoms, shirting and sweats that are highly wearable yet of the utmost quality.
