After linking up with Billionaire Boys Club for a second collaborative Zig Kinetica II sneaker, Reebok has just unveiled a new partnership with London-based utilitarian imprint maharishi.
Taking on the Classic Legacy AZ silhouette, the collaborative project pays homage to maharishi’s refined military influences as well as experimental flight suits and flight jackets.
The classic MA-1 flight jacket is seen through the use of its signature nylon construction, which features on the shoe and in the form of contrasting MIL-SPEC ripstop panels. Presented in shades of understated brown and black, which reference traditional patches used as insignia on uniforms, Reebok’s signature branding on the lateral profiles is replaced with “maharishi” text, commemorating the offering’s unique characteristics.
Modern-day cushioning and tread solution underfoot houses a straightforward black and light brown gum sole, allowing the upper to take centre stage.
The maharishi x Reebok Classic Legacy AZ “Subdued” is set to release on June 10 via the maharishi webstore and the label’s physical locations in London and New York.
