Fresh from sharing its Jasper silhouette last year, KEEN has teamed up with Japanese magazine and retailer LOFTMAN for a collaboration centred around the UNEEK silhouette.

Originally developed in 2014, the next-generation sneaker takes its design inspiration from the Honbo Garden North Garden at the Tofukuji Temple in Kyoto, where the LOFTMAN store is located. Aiming to blend Japanese and Western styles alongside Kyoto’s Japanese culture, the Honbo Garden comprises four segments and features an area that includes a check pattern of moss and stone slabs. The colour palette of the LOFTMAN collab looks to the garden’s colour scheme, with the footbed and additional laces decorated with a checkerboard pattern.

When it comes to construction details, the collaborative shoe boasts an innovative two-cord upper, providing freedom of movement as well as a lightweight midsole and higher-traction rubber outsole for ultimate durability and comfort. The mesh material is used to enhance the visual impact of the design, while additional laces are attached as an accent so that the UNEEK can be showcased as a laced sneaker.

The LOFTMAN x KEEN UNEEK is available to cop online now. Check out the shots below.keen-frontman-collectionkeen-frontman-collectionkeen-frontman-collectionkeen-frontman-collectionkeen-frontman-collectionkeen-frontman-collection
