Coach x Michael B. Jordan & Blue the Great

Coach has a long history of collaborating with artists from underrepresented groups, including Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. And the latest Coach x Michael B. Jordan collection continues that tradition. For this, his third collaboration with the label, Jordan and Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers worked with the actor’s real-life friend and multi-hyphenate artist Blue the Great to create a capsule bursting with exciting visuals and luxury designs,

With Blue the Great’s lively art on Coach’s luxury leather goods and garments, this newest Michael B. Jordan collaboration combines the best of streetwear and high fashion, giving style aficionados a chance to enliven their wardrobes for fall. The collection highlights Blue the Great’s signature “mummified” illustration style, showing the brand’s house Signature “C” and beloved dinosaur mascot, Rexy, wrapped up in bandages. And though Blue’s mummy-wrappings and artistic flourishes have a playful quality, they also require consumers to question how they present themselves. Bursting through his bandages, Blue the Great’s Rexy urges Coach fans to break through their own wrappings to bravely show—and celebrate—their truest selves.

To celebrate the launch of the Michael B. Jordan x Blue collection, Complex recently visited the artist’s Los Angeles studio to photograph both talents modeling their favorite pieces and to interview them about their friendship and working process. You can check out a teaser photo from that shoot above, then scroll through to see a few of our favorite pieces from the collection. And, of course, keep your eyes open for our upcoming lookbook and interview with Jordan and Blue. Trust us, you’ll want eyes on this, no matter what else you’re wrapped up in at the moment.
