Raf Simons, who left Calvin Klein in December after less than two years at the brand, is giving fans a fresh look at his Spring/Summer '19 campaign ahead of this week's Paris Fashion Week show.
The eight new images, seen below, place various SS19 pieces side-by-side in split frame shots of models including Maoro Bultheel, Luca Lemaire, and David Van Brusselt. Photography was handled by Willy Vanderperre.
Back in October, Simons spoke extensively with the New York Times on the continued influence of Andy Warhol on his work and his desire to continue expanding his vision into other mediums. "I keep thinking of things I would like to do that are not fashion," he said at the time. "Making movies, making art—the practice of making something. In fashion, the actual practice of being a designer has changed so much."
Two months later, Simons' departure from his Calvin Klein role of Chief Creative Officer was announced. In a joint statement, both Simons and the Klein team chalked the immediate split up to creative differences. "Both parties have amicably decided to part ways after Calvin Klein Inc. decided on a new brand direction which differs from Simons's creative vision," they said. Simons previously held top roles at Dior and Jil Sander.
