Fake Supreme, of course, is not exactly a new problem. At the top of the year, Supreme emerged victorious in a counterfeiting lawsuit in Italy. Following the suit, an estimated 120,000 pieces of fake Supreme were set to be seized. Still, the counterfeit hustle continues.
During a recent overseas trip that included a stop in Spain, Andre Ljustina (a.k.a. Croatian Style) ended up stopping off at a fake Supreme shop apparently known as "Supreme Spain." Ljustina—also known for his status as Drake's sneaker plug—has since hit Complex with a few thoughts on the definitely-not-cheap Barcelona shop, which he theorizes popped up at some point after the aforementioned lawsuit victory.
"You know, Italy, that's where it started . . . so they fought and won [a] case [against counterfeiters there], so I'm assuming that's why these guys went to Spain, of all places, because it's easier for them to maneuver here and open up some crazy shit," he told Complex.
As for prices, Ljustina said "bullshit trucker hats" are going for 30 euro and shorts are running about 69 euro, for example.
