Publish Axel Pants
Staff Member: Jian DeLeon, Staff Writer
Buy It Now At: Publish, $84
Why I Bought It: "They're like sweats, but not. They look good with sneakers and boots. The end."
JUST DON New York Giants Snapback
Staff Member: Joe La Puma, Director of Content Strategy
Buy It Now At: Kith, $400
Why I Bought It: "I got this at my friend Ronnie's store in KITH, and it was a combination of an impulse buy and him being a salesman. It's ridiculous to spend so much on a hat, but I justified it in a way that I'm a huge Giants fan, and not many people will have this specific hat when I'm tailgating at MetLife Stadium."
Nike Women's Blazer Woven
Staff Member: Gina Batlle, Photo Editor
Buy It Now At: Nike, $100
Why I Bought It: "These in black. Just 'cause."
Nike KO Hazard Hoodie
Staff Member: Tony Markovich, Editorial Assistant
Buy It Now At: Finish Line, $30
Why I Bought It: "After loving KicksDeals, I just started following StreetwearDeals, as well. Hoodies like this, with the therma-fit fabric, are usually 50 or 60 bucks, so when the sale for $30, it was a no-brainer. It's extremely comfortable and doesn't wear out."
Superdry Camping Vest
Staff Member: David Drake, Staff Writer
Buy It Now At: Superdry, $180
Why I Bought It: "Got this in a 50% off sale. Wearing it makes haters cry a 40 oz of tears."
Warby Parker "Edison" Glasses
Staff Member: Foster Kamer, Senior Editor
Buy It Now At: Warby Parker, $145
Why I Bought It: "I haven't worn a pair of metal-frame glasses in a really long time, and they definitely weren't my first impulse. But I also realized that everyone else is wearing plastic frames these days, wanted to give something different a shot, so I went with it. The most obnoxious thing someone can say to you when you wear glasses is that "they make you look smarter," right? As someone who just spent an entire day talking about the greatest twerking anthems of all time, I feel like these actually do, in fact, make me look smarter."
Air Jordan III Retro '88 "White Cement"
Staff Member: Noah Callahan-Bever, Editor-in-Chief
Buy It Now At: eBay, $275+
Why I Bought It: "These are the ultimate sneaker for me. They go with almost everything, because of the largely neutral colorway, and they're incredibly durable. I bought two pairs when they retro'd them in 2011, and dogged them both up within 12 months and knew that I'd underestimated my needs."
Yamaha Arius YDP-161 Digital Piano
Staff Member: Jack Erwin, Executive Editor
Buy It Now At: Guitar Center, $1,300
Why I Bought It: "To show my younger co-workers what you can do when you save your money by REFUSING TO BUY NEW CLOTHES, EVER. Also, so I can scare my kids with the keyboard's loud as shit church organ setting."
A.P.C. Petit Standard Slim Selvedge Jeans
Staff Member: Julian Patterson, Social Media
Buy It Now At: Mr. Porter, $185
Why I Bought It: "I blew the crotch out on my last pair of my jeans, so I was desperate for new denim. I went to Self Edge downtown, thinking my search would be brief since I'm close to sample size. That was NOT the case. I must have tried on their entire inventory and came away with nothing. Then I remembered I had previously owned a pair of New Standards back in '09 and liked how they fit. I hit the A.P.C. store in SoHo and ended up copping the slimmer Petit Standards. Full retail. Those first 10 days breaking them in were hell, but now that they've loosened up a bit, I can walk/maneuver like a normal human again. "
4Fifteen "Hella Local" T-Shirt
Staff Member: Nick Engvall, Assistant Editor
Buy It Now At: 4Fifteen, $30
Why I Bought It: "I bought this, but the Niners still lost."
Nike Air Zoom Turf 97 "Oregon"
Staff Member: Nick Restivo, Social Media
Buy It Now At: Champs, $140
Why I Bought It: "I wanted these when I was a kid but my parents wouldn't buy them for me because they were too expensive. When I saw these were dropping in different colorways, I was excited, then I saw the Oregon logo on the tongue and knew I needed them. Failed to cop on the Nikestore website so I drove half an hour to the mall that had them (props to influencer @nschon for the suggestion), skipped the line where everyone was waiting for the Jordan Vs, and walked out with the Zoom Turfs."
Terrapin Stationers Customized Note Cards
Staff Member: Joe La Puma, Director of Content Strategy
Buy It Now At: Terrapin Stationers, $18+
Why I Bought It: "These notecards and speciality envelopes from Terrapin Stationers are really sick. You can customize whatever type of stationary you want, and they allow you to choose from tons of fonts. My dude Foster put me up on 'em, and I've been writing thank you notes more often now. Grown man shit."
Mark McNairy "Cornholio" T-Shirt
Staff Member: Russ Bengtson, Sneaker Editor
Buy It Now At: Opening Ceremony, $15
Why I Bought It: "I'm far too old to claim to have been brought up on Beavis and Butthead, but formative years don't stop with childhood. Now I just need a couple dozen espressos..."
Want Les Essentiels de la Vie Card Holder/Money Clip
Staff Member: Foster Kamer, Senior Editor
Buy It Now At: Mr. Porter, $115
Why I Bought It: "My old wallet—one of those folding 'magic' wallets—was absolutely destroyed, and my cards were literally falling out of it. Joe and I took a walk uptown to get a cup of coffee, we walked into Opening Ceremony at the Ace, I saw it, and I copped it. I almost returned it to go get a Tiffany's money clip—once had one, lost it—but my girlfriend strenuously objected and noted it as one of the better things I own. Can't really argue with that."
