London-based label Story mfg. has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, titled The Plough Follows The Rain. This season, the ethical fashion brand delves into the realm of the great outdoors, while embracing vibrant colour palettes and patterns.
Focusing its offering around a basis of unique garment dyeing techniques, the unisex collection is made up of pastel tones derived from fruits, bark, leaves, and micro organisms, as well as cross-stitch motifs that read Story mfg. in various placements.
Highlighted in the collection are new patchwork trousers, featuring a loose-fitting silhouette, drawstring waists, and intricate square patterns throughout the design. Knitwear continues to play a key role in the latest release, including warm and comfortable sweaters in orange, yellow and earthy tones.
The new line also includes silhouettes that harmonise with nature, drawing inspiration from fruits like ripe tomatoes, which can be seen in the form of strategically placed raised-stitch embroidery.
