Parisian skate brand Hélas has presented a new partnership with Paraboot, following its recent Winter 2022 collection which was unveiled earlier this week. Honing in on the Isère-based shoe brand’s signature MICHAEL shoe, the collaboration pays homage to both classic design and a dedication to comfort along with flexibility.
Designed entirely in Saint Jean de Moirans in the Isère department in France, the forthcoming project is characterised by clean lines and a brand new sport sole as a tribute to Hélas’ skate-centric roots. Rendered in black suede with beige Norwegian-style seams, rounding out the design is a black sole, two-tone woven shoestrings, a co-branded insole and the Hélas name embossed on the heel.
Contrasting the craftsmanship of Paraboot and the playfulness of Hélas, the lookbook features Moroccan-born French artist Yassine Stein portraying the true essence of the collaboration, showing the journey of the shoe from the producer to the wearer.
