NOAH and Barbour have returned for a third time by presenting a new joint capsule.
The new collection, which comprises six reimagined styles, introduces bright new colourways and contrasting tartan linings to Barbour’s epochal Bedale and Beaufort silhouettes, both of which were first introduced in the early 1980s.
Offering its take on the slim-fit Bedale jacket, NOAH’s collaborative version arrives in a versatile dry wax fabric. It comes in three distinctive colours, including “Wine”, “Nicotine” and navy, and is rounded out with a contrasting tartan lining.
Elsewhere, the Beaufort designs are made in heavy wool from Abraham Moon & Sons, a British firm that was first established in 1837. Retaining the jacket’s iconic shape and cut, each of three colourways—tan, brown plaid and pink—features a contrasting tartan lining and an overall weighty and robust feel.
Both styles are then completed with Barbour’s signature heavy-weight two-way zips, corduroy collars, upper handwarmer pockets and lower bellows pockets. Lastly, a small embroidered logo can be found on the right-hand pocket flap while the same motif, this time on a much larger scale, is embroidered on the neck.
Unveiling the collection, NOAH co-founder and creative director Brendon Babenzien said: “Barbour jackets are perfect for what they are designed for, therefore we chose to make only subtle updates this season. We focused on cloth selection for those who may not manage to wear wax comfortably—water-resistant, dry cloths for those looking to shed rain and wools to combat chilly temperatures. These felt like simple but elegant variations to an already legendary outerwear piece.”
The FW21 Barbour x NOAH collection will be available to cop from October 28 on barbour.com and noahny.com and from selected stockists worldwide.
