Dr. Martens and Alpha Industries have joined forces to release a new footwear capsule honouring their workwear roots.

Rising to prominence in the 1960s, both brands have evolved from industrial settings to becoming symbols of diverse subcultures, now gracing festivals and city streets. The collab revisits the original designs distinguish by each brand, including the Alpha Industries MA-1 flight jacket, initially issued to the United States Air Force; and the iconic 1460 boot. For the partnership, the signature model has been treated to a modern workwear upgrade in the form of Smooth leather and Nylon across the upper, alongside a slew of co-branded details.

Taking notes from the utility focus of the MA-1 bomber jacket, also included is a revised version of the Tarik boot. Combing signature codes like yellow welt stitching, the silhouette boasts a similar mixed material construction, referential red and black laces, and a removable Alpha Industries tongue.

Completing the line-up, Dr. Martens’ attitude gains a utility edge through the Alpha Backpack, featuring functional zippers, straps, added pockets, and a mix of Smooth leather, Kiev leather and Nylon, along with the Alpha Industries pull tab.
