Japanese label nanamica has officially revealed its latest footwear collaboration with Dr. Martens. Combining quintessential style and functionality, the fourth instalment has been designed to be versatile and suitable for on and off-duty styling.
Tapping into Dr. Martens’ archives, the FW23 collab includes a reimagined pair of Chelsea boots and slip-on Louis silhouette. Using nanamica’s signature colour scheme as the foundation, both styles have been modelled in black leather and fixed with navy welt stitching, while the heel loop, along with other accents, have been released in black with contrasting highlights.
Emphasising a “sophisticated blend of style and utility”, the collaboration comes hot on the heels of Dr. Martens’14XX project, an incubator-style programme designed to spark new ideas, adopt innovative philosophies, and develop creative principles for the brand.
