As China’s annual New Year celebration draws near, Dr. Martens has released a two-part collection of modified styles to elevate festive spirits this January.

Commemorating the bold spirit of the dragon, the Lunar New Year collection is all about storming into the year with luck. Kicking off the delivery is the 8-hole boots, made with sleek black leather and adorned with a gold metal plate featuring an intricately engraved dragon design on the toe. Additional design elements arrive in the form of a red interior, gold eyelets, aglets, shoe charms, and a tongue crafted from hair-on leather.

The tassel loafers follow, coming with black leather for the exterior and highlighted by red lining leather for the interior, edges and insoles. Both styles undergo a distinctive transformation by replacing Dr. Martens’ traditional yellow welt stitching with “Lucky Red”—a tribute to the zodiac inspiration woven into the collection—while all gold elements are engraved with the word dragon.

You can cop the Dr. Martens ‘Year Of The Dragon’ collection online and in selected stores.
