London-based skateboarder and creative Lucien Clarke and his DCV’87 imprint has partnered with DC Shoes for a new collection.

Having already joined the Californian label’s team of skaters last year, the forthcoming project builds on Clarke’s international repertoire as he continues to communicate his multicultural identity on and off the board.

Paying homage to his Jamaican and UK roots, the silhouette, which comes in brown and black colourways, is met with suede-covered mudguards, ankle flaps and heels, as well as durable leather and mesh underlying panels. Watermarks subtly unveil the DCV’87 branding, while DC Shoes’ interlocked motif is skilfully added to the medial sides with a translucent Lynx OG sole.

“Our first project with Lucien is all about the innate chemistry between DC’s heritage and his creative point of view,” says Michael Minter, the global head of marketing at DC Shoes. “DC meets DCV’87; it just made too much sense, so we made it the jumping off point for what will be a series of exciting projects to come.”

You can cop the DC Shoes x DCV’87 collaboration on July 22 via DC Shoes and select retailers . Get a closer look at the black and brown colourways in the shots below.
