Aries and New Balance have teamed up once again for a unique sporting collaboration with Italian football giants AS Roma.
Featuring an official “On-Pitch” kit, which will be worn by AS Roma during their Japanese tour at the end of November, the collaboration features the club’s emblematic, diagonal marbling streaks in the famous Giallorossi colourway, along with matching elite football socks, pro-shorts and a goalkeeper shirt, which draws on Aries’ trash culture, outsider art and illustration inspirations.
The collaboration also includes a “Pre-Game” collection, which comprises an AS Roma crested pre-game jersey, an all-black nylon training tracksuit and a limited-edition silver and gold metallic jersey that depicts Rome’s most iconic figures including Lupa Capitolina, Lucius Verus and Julius Ceaser.
“To collaborate with an institution like AS Roma is the realisation of how sport, fashion and culture have become intertwined,” says Aries founder, Sofia Prantera. “Being Roman, I understand how important this club is to the millions of fans in this city and around the world, and I wanted to reflect that through designs that celebrated Rome and conveyed its unique expression of football and fashion provenance.”
The pre-game jersey and training tracksuit will be worn by the AS Roma players on-pitch during their warm-up at Stadio Olimpico when they face local rivals Lazio this November 6 at their infamous Derby game.
The Aries x New Balance x AS Roma “On-Pitch” collection is available to purchase on November 22, while the “Pre-Game” collection is available to cop now via the Aries website.
