The Most Stylish Rookies of The 2012 NBA Season

The 2012-13 NBA season is packed full of exciting twists and turns. Will the Heat go for a back-to-back title run? Or will Dwight Howard's and Steve Nash's presence in L.A. bring the Larry O'Brien trophy back to the west coast? While the veterans battle over which team is going to dominate, the 2012 NBA rookie class is settling in to their roles on their new teams in their new cities. Like any freshman class it can be an awkward time, especially when it comes to how you present yourself.

Rookies are coming out of college broke as hell, and suddenly they've got fat contracts and, if they're lucky, a shit load of cash. Since Draft day has come and gone, we see the new houses, cars, and clothing being flaunted by these young stars. Question is, who will make the transition in style? The highest drafted point guard didn't come from UNC or UConn. He came from Weber State. Do you even know where that is? Well, Damian Lillard does and we have a feeling he's glad as hell to get out of there so he can expand his style repertoire. Coming out in one of the better suits on Draft Day, Lillard's Instagram is littered with selfies that have some style substance. And if it doesn't, he at least hangs out with A$AP Rocky who can probably give him some helpful hints.

Every year, there is a big man considered a "prodigy" that gets picked high. While this is becoming less and less of a topic due to busts like Eddy Curry, Kwame Brown, and Hasheem Thabeet virtually stabbing teams in the heart, this year, it's 6'10" Andre Drummond, who just came off a noteworthy year at UConn. Seems as though Drummond is also a style prodigy, really starting to get his feet wet, dabbling in menswear and streetwear pieces that best suit his large frame.

Yet another Dukey has infiltrated the NBA. He's got some NBA in his genes, thanks to his former-All Star and Celtics head coach of a father, Doc Rivers, but he's also got the swag to be a stylish rook. Mixing streetwear with high-end pieces, from Diamond to Tom Ford. You can't help but appreciate his Don C. cap collection, too.

Thomas Robinson has a lot to live up to. After a banner season as the Big 12 Player of the Year, the Kings brought Robinson in hoping his smooth style of play will transition nicely into the league. He's had zero problem transitioning into one of the more stylish dudes coming out of college, meshing his D.C. upbringing with some new found luxury, much like his stylish college teammate, Tyshawn Taylor.

Miller came to Baylor and did big things as a freshman. The lanky 6'10" scoring machine landed him a spot as the No. 38 pick in the Draft, but his role on the Nuggets may have been solidified on another skill of his; style. Denim jackets, camo, and oodles of hard-to-find Nikes have put this dude on the map as one of the youngest dudes in the league with big time style.

The former Oregon State baller has confirmed his love for two things through Instagram: His Dallas Mavericks teammates and clothing. Tending to keep it a little more mature than some of his 2012 draftmates, the 6'5" guard can be caught in slim denim or chinos with Clarks Desert Boots from time to time. The other time you can find him hanging from the rim because the dudes got bounce.

Oh, you thought a second-round pick couldn't style on you? Tyshawn Taylor had his ups-and-downs as a Kansas Jayhawk, but there's no denying the kid's got game. And now that he's bringing his swagger on and off the court back to NYC, where you can catch him rocking the latest from Givenchy and Billionaire Boys Club, while throwing in luxury items from Louis Vuitton. If basketball doesn't work out, he might have a decent fallback plan.

As one of the most touted college basketball players ever, let alone freshman, Anthony Davis did it all for the National Championship winning Wildcats. Now, with all eyes on him as he enters the league as the No. 1 draft pick, unibrowed 6'10" baller has the style world's attention as well. Staying true to his Chi-Town roots, you can catch him rocking the latest Leaders 1354 gear and Jordan, getting his cozy boy swag on.
