Between No Limits 1,234,458 albums a week or the Bounce movement bringing twerking into our lives years before Miley Cyrus ruined it, NOLA's hip-hop scene is unlike any other. And that includes the rappers' sense of style in and of itself.

The Big Easy is still churning out rappers who will carry the torch as Weezy fizzles out and Percy takes his talents to the boardroom, but they don't need any help when it comes to stunting. While there's the traditional fashion sense guys from L.A. or NYC tend to concentrate on, rappers from the Crescent City have a look that, like the city itself, mixes up influences and histories to create something that's uniquely their own. Favorite Brands: BBC, Gucci

Even though Gates spent much of his youth in Baton Rouge, he was born and raised in NOLA, which he proudly proclaims. And Gates' rough & rumble rap style is perfectly executed in the way he approaches clothing, rocking signature hood pieces from Gucci with pants sagging below his BBC tops. His mixture of hoodwear and streetwear are perfectly combined to let everyone know he ain't fucking around.

Cypher and his partner-in-crime, Lusmith, are the young, fearless rap duo of New Orleans hoping to separate themselves from other partnerships that fall into the "hipster rap" category. And even though much of Cypher's style can easily fit into said pigeonhole—throwback jerseys, vintage tops and Vans on the regular—he also mixes it up with crazy high-end fashion pieces from Balmain and Saint Laurent. Plus, his overall demeanor gives off the impression that if you were to call him a "hipster" to his face, he may slap you.

Vintage, vintage, vintage. That is pretty much all brothers Krispy and Joey of The Knux wear. Nirvana T-shirts with old leather jackets and Doc Martens tend to fill Krispy's everyday garb, and provide a dope foundation for him and his bro to take a totally different approach to hip-hop style coming out of New Orleans.

Paasky could be attributable for bringing high-end streetwear into the NOLA rap scene, rocking brands like Hood by Air, PYREX and Bape. Dude rocks all these favorite brands in videos like "Saying Grace." The boy knows what's hot right now and he's pushing a more East coast approach to the style found in the Crescent City.

The 18-year-old rapper has already made a hell of a name for himself, doing features with Curren$y and performing as a part of BET's Music Matters special. He's pretty advanced in style, too, taking a more fashion-forward approach by rocking brands like Givenchy and HBA. The young boy's moving on up and it should only get better as he prepares to release his newest mixtape, Tunnel Vision.

Lusmith is the sleeper of the New Orleans rappers with style. The former Team Robot rapper, now with newly formed Parallel, has established a different kind of rebellious rap coming out of NOLA with a style you could say is Tyler, The Creator-like. Supreme jackets, bucket hats and canvas sneakers for that skinny-boy-style only, well, skinny guys can pull of.

Favorite Brands: Jordan, Big Freedia

There may not being a bigger legend in the state of Louisiana than Big Freedia. The icon was the one to export Bounce from NOLA and who really made "twerking" what it's blown up to be today. All of his eccentricities are only punctuated by his style. Loud colors, leather tops, and every accessory under the sun make Freedia a style icon in his own lane. You can argue all you want that Freedia's style is crazy or over-the-top, but isn't that what personal style is about? Expressing who you are in every way you can? Maybe you're just not used to someone being as much of an individual with as visual of an IDGAF attitude as Big Freedia. Respect it.

Just like his brother, Joey's style isn't what you would typically find in New Orleans rapper, and that's because Joey and The Knux are not your typical New Orleans rap duo. It wouldn't be far-fetched to compare their music style and sartorial cues to N.E.R.D., which is certainly not a bad thing. Joey would be Pharrell in this situation, rocking leathers, ripped tees and flannels for a unique N.O. style that gives him the edge over his bro.

Curren$y the Hot Spitta's penchant for co-signing streetwear brands like Bape and BBC, along with relevant sneaker references are what has catapulted him to the top of every sneakerhead's favorites list. Dude is also cementing his status among streetwear's elite—he recently had incredible collab with Diamond Supply Co. around one of Curren$y's favorite holidays: 4/20.

Chase N. Cashe has created quite the name for himself, teaming up with super-producer Hit Boy for one hell of a production team, as well as establishing himself as a formidable rapper. And his streetweater-centric style, comprising of some dope pieces from brands like Supreme and SSUR, and the unique way in which he wears them are formidable among stylish rappers nationwide. New Orleans' sound certainly can't be contained to one definition, and with Chase N. Cashe leading the way, neither can the city's style.
