Chicago-based photographer trashhand knows how to capture an arresting image. He photographs everything from the wild energy of rappers on stage to evocative portraits of professionals. But his most stunning images come from when he trains his lens on compositions void of people. trashhand captures architectural geometries that overwhelm the viewer, as in his empty subway stations or the dangerous curve of a spiral staircase. His photos of city skylines and natural landscapes are equally stunning and almost look like they could be stills from a movie. trashhand explains the stories behind his favorite photos in our Portfolio Review: Photographer trashhand Shares Cinematic Images From Around the World.
