The 25 Hottest Photo Shoots of May 2013

We have to say, the trend of this month's compilation has to be high fashion. Women displayed pretty elegant outfits for the new season, and we didn't mind looking at the vixens doing it. Some big names appear on the list like Emma Watson, Lana Del Rey (of course), and Cara Delevingne. As always, some shoots were released ahead of their physical issues to get people excited. So if you're wondering why you haven't seen some of these shoots, well that's why. This month's group also ends with a milestone cover for a very famous model. Who is it? Cara is one of Richardson's favorite people to shoot and well, we love seeing what comes of their collaborations. This series of photos shows off a side we don't see Cara express. She's playful but at the same time alluring with eyes that draw your attention. We will keep coming back for more.

We kept coming back to this photo shoot of Zuzana Gregorova. There's a "Lifetime" channel quality to it, but in a good way. The hazy touch on the photos makes her look like an unattainable hottie, like a siren we wish we could reach. We hope she graces more covers because she has a lot more to offer.

Danish fashion model Amanda Norgaard poses in this photo shoot as a dancer in New York. She looks graceful as she rides the train. We love the nostalgia captured in the spread, with simple lighting and the use of bronze. It is a simple shoot but we're drawn to it.

Milla is one of our favorite models because she has such a strong look that works in so many contexts. Here she shows a playful sporty side that is incredibly attractive. It's obvious she's been at the gym, working on her fitness. We wouldn't mind jogging with her sometime.

This photo shoot with Tiffany Keller is everything we hate gone good. It's awful when a photographer uses excessive lighting and heavy tones. However, in this shoot those flaws make it amazing. The shadows and red hues add an element of heat to the spread, and Keller looks amazing because of it. Rules were meant to be broken.

Yes this is some self-promotion, but we have to say Solange makes for a great model. She really brings it in the spread, and not everyone can pull off such strong colors. She also doesn't look forced, a trait many musicians who find themselves in front of a camera possess. We love her and we love her spread.

Liu Wen is a model to watch. In the spread, she poses around a town and takes on an aristocratic personality that plays well with the shoot. She has a great talent of engendering any aesthetic presented toward her. We're excited to see her in more shoots.

Yes, the clothes are stunning in this shoot with Freja Beha Erichsen. However, what makes this shoot is how it is photographed. Inez & Vinoodh create clever juxtapositions, placing the model donning high fashion looks in urban environments. It's visually stimulating. Also Erichsen is obviously a girl who can handle herself in a metallic geometric dress. Not every model can boast that.

This very '70s-themed shoot plays with color and with lighting that is true to life. The posing and the images look natural, which make it unique. We also like the interesting play with distance used in the photo shoot. Brave photography is always a knockout in our book.

Another day, another mag cover with Lana Del Rey. We can't deny that she can take a picture like no other. She poses for this beach spread that feels effortless and as always, looks incredibly classy. The money is in her beauty and we would go broke to see it.

Iza Olak is the type of girl who walks down the street and you know she models. She poses the hell out of high fashion looks in a barn. Lighiting in the spread is diffused all around, making virtually no shadows. The shoot is proof that no matter what scenery is used in a photo shoot, magic can be created with great photography and a great model.

Yes, we'll say it. Look at that girl's body. The model kills it in this beach spread. The way the sun kisses her skin and drapes her like a blanket would make a lonely man cry. It makes sense that Guess would use her for a whole bunch of ads. She has a look that needs to be seen by everyone.

The black-and-white shoot emphasizes the raw beauty of fashion and of course Giramata. Also, doesn't she look a lot like Brooke Shields when she was young?

We're happy to see her on the magazine, however we doubt it will be the last time a magazine puts her on the cover.
