Street Art Photojournalist Martha Cooper Is Celebrated by a Mural on the Houston Street Wall

Photographer Martha Cooper who has spent decades performing photojournalism for the street art community had a birthday on March 9, and that's a birthday to celebrate. Graffiti artists LADY PINK, HOW, NOSM, FREE5, TERROR161, CRASH, DAZE, BIO, FREEDOM and others worked hard to create a mural on the famed Houston Street Wall in New York. However, they didn't tell Cooper they were making it. They just told her to come to a photo shoot for a new project to surprise her. “It’s more awesome than awesome,” Martha Cooper said.
