Toward the end of last year, we saw a strange trend emerge that involved people dyeing their armpit hair bright and unnatural colors. The fad was primarily embraced by women, who wanted to celebrate a part of their bodies that had been consistently deemed “unattractive.”
But recently, a group of guys over at Buzzfeed wanted to get in on the action, so they decided to try out the trend for the very first time—allowing a camera crew to film the experience.
As seen in the video above, the three men had to endure a fairly standard process. While they waited for the dye to settle, they began to theorize why women would want to rock this look, eventually concluding it was all about empowerment.
“It’s like, ‘You don’t like woman with armpit hair? Well let me take it one step farther. Let me put some neon colors on this motherfucker and blow it in your face,” one guy, our hero, said.
