The only thing fresher than Alexander Wang’s clothing is the ever-changing art installations in its New York flagship store.
Throughout the years, the shop’s immense black metal cage structure has been employed to showcase objects that reflect the current line’s aesthetic and vibes. We’ve seen Floating Hydrangeas, House of Cards, the Boxing Cage, and even an eerie display of hair-covered mannequins. But the latest installation is catching waves with leading Australian surfboard brand Haydenshape.
Highlighting the sports brand’s award-winning Hypo Krypto board model, this new presentation features five one-of-a-kind marble surfboards suspended on the cage wall. It’s the perfect illustration of art, utility, and high performance that is often associated with Alexander Wang’s signature sportswear vision.
Check out more photos of the installation below, and head over to Haydenshape’s website to learn more about the limited edition surfboards created by co-founder Hayden Cox.
Visit the store at 103 Grand St., NYC.
