Whack-a-Shaq: Shaq's Greatest Style Fouls

Shaquille O'neal's career has spanned six NBA teams, a handful of mostly forgettable acting gigs, several rap albums (one of which went platinum), a really horrible video game, the short-lived TWIsM clothing line, and even a stint as a law enforcement officer. Although an intimidating presence in the low post, Shaq was often derided for his lack of prowess behind the freethrow line, becoming the second NBA player to miss 5,000 freethrows behind Wilt Chamberlain. Another area he often missed in: personal style. Now that Shaq is hanging up his jersey for good, here are some clothing choices we hope also stay in his closet. Say what you will about his style, Shaq certainly appreciated the details in a suit. In this case—embroidered Superman logo, six-button double-breasted blazer—those details just happen to be heinous.

Shaq is the genie from your nightmares. He comes out of a lamp to grant you three horrible outfits.

That trophy? Definitely not a “Best Dressed” award. This was at the peak of Shaq’s sleeveless suit days.

Shaq rocked another sleeveless suit at the 2004 VMAs. Needless to say, he was a presenter, not a winner.
