You guys, remember Lugz? They were red-hot in the '90s through the early 2000s. And they had star power thanks to hip-hop icons like Funkmaster Flex and Birdman. They also had some pretty crazy commercials, ranging from CG-heavy ads to more pause-worthy commercial spots.

Here's a look at some of them. Check out The Most Ridiculous Lugz Commercials.

"Racist" Store Owner

You know how it is. Sometimes you walk into a convenience store or bodega only to get mean-mugged by the dude at the cash register like you might rob the place at a moment's notice. This one has a little twist at the end.

Ground Shaking

Ever stunt so hard in your Lugz that the very ground you walk on is rendered malleable? Yeah, happens all the time... unless a fly honey dip gets in your way, in which case, you let her pass by and admire your kicks. The KRS-ONE soundtrack definitely helps.

Video Game

Remember the music video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Californication?" Yeah, this commercial is definitely a rip from that... still looks like a fun game for Dreamcast though. It also goes to show how far CG has come in about ten years...

Video Game 2

Lugz literally goes next level in this follow-up ad, where the game's objectives include: avoiding suits and getting money. Sounds like a regular day at the Complex office, actually.

Funkmaster Flex

The inmitable Funkmaster Flex gets the CG treatment for this crazy commercial... complete with a tricked-out SUV... and plenty of cars being thrown. Wow. They went H.A.M.

Breakdancers

Is it even possible to breakdance in Lugz? Wouldn't that hurt? Or at least lead to some twisted ankles? And gross, who would touch the floor of a NYC subway platform?

Pause Worthy

This "Too Hot for TV" spot was actually banned. It involves dudes in a bathroom. We'll let the commercial do the rest of the talking.

Birdman

Seriously, this Birdman Lugz commercial might be the best advertisement ever. Forget the Air Force 1-inspired sneakers... how can we come up on some old school Birdman Falcons and Hood Rich Boots? BRRR!!!

Oscar The Lugz Kitten

Since this isn't really a commercial, consider this a bonus gift. Meet Oscar The Lugz Kitten. He is a thing. And he likes sleeping in boots.
