Fashion month is in full effect for menswear, and we're keeping up with all the best-dressed dudes on the planet, alphet by alphet. First came the menswear mecca of Pitti Uomo, followed by the decidedly more urban steez of London Collections: Men. Now, we turn our stylish eye to the streets of Milan, where Milan Fashion Week is just wrapping up.

Of course, while there were plenty of dope collections to gawk at, the real action was outside the fashion shows, where men of all different styles strutted their stuff for street style photographers. We took a closer look at the action to bring you some of the bolder things that we could definitely see working in the average guy's wardrobe. The T-shirt tuck gained newfound notoriety when A$AP Rocky did it in the music video for "Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2," where he tucked in a tee from MIDNIGHT STUDIOS. While it's by no means new, several dudes in Milan were rocking the look, showing that if you're fit enough and your tee isn't too baggy, it's possible to make it look cool, even if you're not A$AP Rocky.

When it's hot out you get a lot of leeway in terms of throwing stuff on that's utterly outrageous, but you can claim it's the lightest thing you own. Loud blazers and sportcoats fall into that territory. Also acceptable are lightweight jackets like the Ottoman Harrington Supreme dropped a couple of years ago, break that stuff out and keep everything else boring in order to have a slim chance of actually pulling it off.

Sandals and flip-flops may make the average city-dweller cringe with disgust. After all, there's so much unknown crap on the streets at any given moment that could make you vomit just thinking about it. But when the temperature climbs to sweltering, ventilation anywhere seems like a welcome reprieve. A happy medium between a pair of Tevas and your favorite kicks? A sneaker like the Nike Air Rift, which melds the comfort the swoosh is known for with a ton more breathability than your average pair of Uptowns.

Classic menswear ain't dead bros. Revive your lightweight sportcoats and seersucker blazers by wearing them over a T-shirt, unbuttoned, like you just threw it on and forgot about it. You don't have to wear the full suit, though trousers and a T-shirt with slip-on sneakers is also a suitable summer look. Break apart your old #menswear gear and remix it into the stuff currently your style rotation. That's some solid advice style gawds like Angelo Flaccavento swear by.

Thanks to accessories companies like Pintrill, pins are everywhere once again. Whether you cop some vintage ones off eBay or go for some new ones that reflect your personality, it's not unusual to deck out your denim vests or jackets with a boatload of enamel accessories. Though if you're reticent about going O.D. on the pin trend, just try on on your collar or lapel first.

Feel like laces are overrated and slip-ons are too ubiquitous? Opt for velcro kicks. Everyone from K. Swiss to Puma to Nigo for adidas Originals is coming out with a pair of strapped-up sneakers. Take your pick and wear them all summer long.

When it's too hot out for a backpack or messenger bag, opt for a tote. Whittle down your everyday carry to a few necessities and get on with your life. Sure there are designer versions and souvenir ones you can pick up at destination stores, but the real move is copping Japanese mooks or style magazines at Kinnokuniya or your local bookstore just so you can get the free BAPE or Stüssy tote included with the physical lookbook.

Going sockless in the summer is an easy recipe for foot stank. No-show socks are a simple solution, but they're also kind of played out, and make you look like a total idiot when you don't have your shoes on. Sometimes it's best to just embrace a nice layer of white sock. No need for an all-over print or big pattern, just keep everything looking nice and simple.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Outerwear when it's hot? Actually, yeah. It's something that's been prevalent in womenswear for seasons, but dudes are finally beginning to catch out. Lightweight topcoats are becoming available from labels like Engineered Garments and Trés Bien to retailers like Urban Outfitters and COS. No, it's not the type of thing you throw on when it's humid and sweltering out, but on cool mornings and breezy nights, it's an effortless top layer that effectively upgrades your whole look.
