Run cold water through the back of the stain to force it back out through the fabric. Rub in a liquid detergent onto the stain and work it in gently. If it's a white garment you can use vinegar, lemon juice, or even hydrogen peroxide for extra effect. Rinse well.

Get rid of any excess sauce and then dab with a mixture of water and liquid soap. For deeper stains blot with white vinegar.
