For their latest drop, the RS-X, PUMA have connected with JD Sports to reinvigorate the shoe’s bold silhouette, melding classic elements from PUMA’s history with futuristic flourishes. The shoe was originally dropped in 2018 and earned praise for its mix of materials and bold colourways.

The new RS-X Efekt takes those winning elements and supplements its immediately recognisable silhouette with an angular design aesthetic, grippy outsole rubber coverage, and a mesh upper with synthetic nubuck, suede overlays, and a fading effect on the midsole.

It’s already proven a highly sought-after item among sneakerheads and to celebrate, PUMA and JD hopped over to Paris to launch the shoe with a massive event that connected London and Parisian culture. Representing France’s long and proud rap history were local talents Ocevne and Le Juiice, and as headliners, lucky attendees were treated to an exclusive performance from UK rap heroes D-Block Europe.

Despite the stylishly spartan settings, it was a sweltering summer night in Paris. Complex was on the ground to take in the action, and you can see what went down via the gallery below.

The PUMA RS-X is available to buy in stores and online at JDsports.co,uk retailing at £100.
